what's New

The New York Chariots of Fire are a non-profit organization that offers the competitive team sport, Indoor Wheelchair Soccer, to individuals with disabilities in the Long Island area.

The New York Chariots represent the Open Division and the New York Strikers compete in the A Division of their governing body, USA-IWS.

CSI was proud to be the title sponsor for the 2007 IWS Championship games this past November. Ten teams in two divisions fought for two national titles. Our Chariots and Strikers finished second and third, respectively.

This great multi-disabled sport is one of many initiatives that CSI supports in the local community. We believe that positive activities such as disabled sports raises the quality of life for everyone and sets an example for all of us who must overcome obstacles in life and prove that each of us can make a difference in the world if we are willing to get involved in our community.

For the past 15 seasons, a team of CSI employees and friends have participated in an indoor wheelchair soccer fund-raising contest with the NY Chariots, as part of our annual sponsorship to their organization.

CSI teammates use wheelchairs provided by the Chariots and play against these gifted and spirited athletes. Although we have defeated them twice, the 11-time national champions usually take us to task in what have become extremely memorable sponsorship matches for nearly a decade and a half.

CSI also provides uniforms and other financial assistance to this exceptional organization to assist in purchasing specialized equiptment and help absorb travel costs and tournament fees.
